Attn Mom's part 2

So just wondering what items you couldn't live WITHOUT!? I am just adding things to my registry and i feel like i could be forgetting things..

Also, how did you store your breast milk after pumping?
What bottles did you like best.. just new mom things that i dont know, and if all you moms could just give me some tips that would be fabulous.
I can't believe november is like over and there really is only 3 1/2 months to go until baby August is here!
The time is flying it's crazy.!!!

  1. umm bottles..

i mostly breastfeed but we give him bottles of formula sometimes too, and of course bottles of breast milk. I like the Avent bottles because he barely seems to get any air. At first I tried regular old school glass bottles because of the bad things with plastic, but those give him a TON of air.

I store breast milk in breast milk storage bags, and I have "The First Years, Milk Storage Organizer" that stores the bags in the freezer.

    Things I couldn't live without....

The first couple of weeks, swaddle blankets. Any blanket that is made for swaddling.

My Boppy, besides using it to nurse, he HAS to be propped up on it in his crib when he sleeps, he won't sleep in his crib otherwise. weird.

last but def. not least, my FAVORIE gift we received..The "Homemedics Sound Spa Lullaby" We got this when He was about 3 weeks old, and he has slept SO much better since. We usually it on either "rain" or "ocean" which is just nice white noise for when he sleeps. And now he likes to watch the projection on the ceiling as he falls asleep. I would for sure get one of those things!

If I think of anymore i'll come back. :)

  2. 1. Lots of cloth diapers to use as burp cloths/pads.
    2. Lots of white onesies.
    3. Small blankets.
    4. White noise machine. I have this one: http://www.sleepwellbaby.com/SleepMate-980A-White-Noise-Machine-p/sm-980.htm
    5. My Brest Friend. hahaha.
    6. I also really liked the Avent bottles, but if I had to do it over again I think I would get the Avent ones with the inserts just to be safe I guess...
    7. Philips baby monitor. We went through 2 Graco monitors before getting this one: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Avent-Two-Parent-Zero-Interference-Technology/dp/B000NG7XGU

  3. I came back, cause I remembered something I was going to tell you! It is actually Michelle's #1 suggestion. CLOTH DIAPIERS. They make the best burp cloths. Any other thing that the stores sells as "burp cloths" are not worth the money. NOthing is as absorbant as a cloth diaper. They even come in fun colors now, so you aren't stuck with plain white, if you care about that sort of thing, haha.

So excited for you and Matt..can't wait for Mr. August to arrive too.
